You are cordially invited to come and celebrate the opening of our cross-country riding training facility.
Our dedicated cross-country schooling area was developed in collaboration with Badminton course designer Eric Winter and built to exacting standards by Dominic Moore. It is set amidst the beautiful Surrey Hills (in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), and the combination of the course and its location makes for a truly unique riding experience.
The day will begin at 08:45am with coffee served by the course.
Guests will then be able to walk the Eric Winter designed course with Lucinda Green, one of the most decorated eventers of all time.
Lucinda has a number of World and European championship titles to her name, as well as Olympic medals, and a phenomenal tally of 6 wins at the Badminton Horse Trials, and two victories at the Burghley Horse Trials.
We are nothing other than delighted to have such a distinguished and knowledgeable member of the equestrian community with us on the day to share their thoughts on how you can best utilise our course to improve your skills to their utmost.
Open Day schedule
- 8:45am – Arrive at Slades Farm.
- 9:00am – Lucinda will walk the course and discuss the jumps before putting invited riders through their paces over some of the fences.
- 11:00 – Drinks and Brunch
Would you like to join us?
Attendance for the open day is free. If you wish to join us and watch this fantastic trainer and riders, spectator tickets must be booked online in advance. We look forward to welcoming you at Slades Farm.
Can I bring well-behaved dogs/horses with me?
At Slades Farm, we love our four-legged companions, but regretfully, given the nature of the event, guests will not be able to bring dogs with them on this occasion.
You will not be able to bring your own horses to the open day – However, you can always make an online booking to use our cross-country course and put what you’ve learnt into action.
